Getting rid of a headache without traditional medicine
Headaches have the ability to completely ruin your day, but I am the kind of person that shies away from filling myself full of Tylenol. Over time I have found a few great natural remedies that normally can do the trick.
I had been using plain peppermint essential oil for headaches for a while but it is messy and hard to apply. This wand from Saje is the perfect applicator. It allows you to apply directly to your scalp with minimal mess! This blend includes peppermint for cooling, lavender for calming, and rosemary for stress relief. I loved this product so much it leads to the next item on the list.
This oil blend and mist kit is an absolute life saver. It not only includes the Peppermint Halo Wand, but also a roll on of the Peppermint Halo Oil Blend and Stress Relief Mist. I apply the Peppermint Halo Wand directly to the scalp and the roll on blend on the forehead and back of the neck. Then I spritz some of the Stress Release Mist and inhale for extra calming.
3. A cooling eye mask
This is the exact eye mask that I use. It is made of a really soft cotton, unlike many other masks that are made of plastic. You throw this in the freezer and it gets cold and stays cold for a long time. There are no eye holes to allow for darkness and relaxation. Trust me, you need to invest in one.
4. Do yoga
I know, when your head hurts the last thing you want to do is move, but trust me sometimes it can help. Doing yoga will help get your mind focused on something other than the pain and allow for you to relieve any tension in your body. This is especially helpful if you are suffering some a tension headache! While practising remember to take deep, full breaths to get the oxygen flowing.
