I feel like a bring this up often, but I have a potato chip addiction. In case you were wondering Ruffle’s All Dressed chips are my all time favourite. I spend way too much money on chips and also WAY too much time running to the store to get them. We don’t have a car, so for late night snack runs, we have to spend a chunk of our evening walking to the store.
We really value our time. Time is so precious, and we absolutely hate wasting time doing useless things. We would much rather spend our time working on our side hustle (blog, Youtube, and Instagram), spending quality time together, or snuggling with our pets.
It has come up many times in conversation that we wish there was a service that could deliver convenience store items directly to our door. How handy would that be right!? When we were in California there was a number of services we could use to have things delivered like Uber Eats and Postmates, but WE DON’T HAVE THESE! The struggle is so real.
Then we stumbled across the new Halifax business Room Service and it was love at first sight.
What is it?
Room Service is an online convenience store that delivers directly to your doorstep in 45 minutes or less. They stock treats (like chips, drinks, candy and chocolate), baby supplies, cleaning supplies, and pet products. Plus they have basics like toilet paper and personal hygiene products.
Room Service just opened in August 2017 and the family-run business is growing super quick. We have been lucky enough to meet Johnathan and Beth and they are the sweetest humans. I am always so happy to support local businesses and extra happy to support great people!
How does it work?
It is super, super easy. You can pick your items, order, and pay all from their website via PayPal. In 45 minutes or less, your delivery will show up at your door!
This service is going to come in SO handy for Allie and I, not because we are lazy but because we are so so busy. This is such a fabulous way for us to get some of our time back!
My mother will be extremely thrilled to know that they stock toilet paper. This means we (probably) won’t run out again and be stuck using napkins until we find the time to run to the store. This seems to happen every single time she is about to visit and I think she figures we just never have toilet paper… Sorry, mom!!
Have you tried Room Service yet? If so let me know what you think about it in the comments!
